GREAT 19TH C AMERICAN MINIATURE MIRROR IN UNTOUCHED RED WASH SURFACE ON VENEER

Description:

A WONDERFUL 19TH CENTURY AMERICAN MINIATURE MIRROR IN THE ABSOLUTE BEST ORIGINAL RED WASH PAINTED SURFACE AND UNTOUCHED PATINA. New England, Circa 1830 IN WALNUT VENEER ON PINE.

A nice bevel molded frame with mitered corners in native Pine with Applied Walnut Veneer. It still retains its original hand wrought nails on each corner. The silvered mirror glass is original and in very nice shape with only minor losses. The original backboard is inpine and only 1/16" thick. It still retains its original brass hook.

The SURFACE IS ALL ORIGINAL AND UNDISTURBED. THE WOOD IS COMPLETELY INTACT WITH ONLY MINOR LOSSES AT THE CORNERS.
