Up for sale with is a really wonderful Spanish Sterling Silver Figural Dolphins Handled Double Shell form Serving Dish. The Serving dish the finest example of it's kind that I have sold, having never sold another in Sterling Silver. I have sold similar pieces in the past in Silver Plate but never a Solid Sterling example before, I am quite excited to be saleing it ! The Dish features 2 amazingly detailed Dolphin or Fish figures for the Handle and 2 very nice Oyster Shell form bowls with cute Pearl form feet. The Dish is of excellent quality, the details in the Dolphins is quite remarkable and much nicer than my photos show. The Dish is also in excellent condition throughout with no dents, cracks or repairs and has never been over polished, showing a nice old patina to the Sterling Silver. The Dish is also reinforced making it quite sturdy and practical for modern use, I think it would be perfect for serving dipping sauces when serving Sushi but I am sure the new owner will find a million different uses for it or be happy to just display it. This beauty measures approx 10-1/2" long by 4-3/4" wide and sits 5" tall to the top of the Handle with a quality weight of 143 grams.
