GRISWOLD #7 701 Large Logo Cast Iron Skillet w/Heat Ring 1920-1930s? Has wear
This is an original Griswold cast iron frying pan with the old-style heat ring on the bottom. It is stamped on bottom with “Cast Iron Skillet” followed by the size number “7”. In the middle, it has the double circle “Griswold” large logo followed by “ERIE, PA., U.S.A.”. Below that, on the center of the bottom is “701 E". On Top of the handle, it is marked with “7”.
This measures 9 3/4" across the top and is almost 2" deep. No scorch marks. No chips, cracks or damage.
This does have some wear from use, probably could be cleaned up but I didn't want to try. It has some pock (?) marks on the bottom which blurs the logo, not sure what that is, but I took close up photos so there would be no surprises.
The skillet sits flat on my granite counter top; does NOT rock, spin or wobble. Smooth cooking surface, too.
Due to its heavy weight (3lbs), it will have to be mailed Priority Mail medium box flat rate.
Item pictured is the actual item up for sale.
