Measures approx.9.5\" (diameter) x 4\" (height); 3 lbs. (weight).GartnerBlade Glass, based in Ashley Falls, Massachusetts, was formed by StephenGartner and Danielle Blade in 1995. Blade, who hails from England, is thedaughter of British glass artist Martin Evans, and Gartner was born in Phoenix,Arizona but grew up in the southern U.S. and Europe. Both artists trained withnotable artists in the U.S. and Europe, and had previously worked as productionglassblowers and as glass-blowing instructors before starting their own studio.With this business collaboration, Blade and Gartner strive to create asynthesis of individual ideas and techniques to create unique and compellinghand-blown works of art. GartnerBlade often looks to nature for inspiration,mimicking layers of geological strata, ancient fossils, bones, and flora andfauna in breathtakingly beautiful glass pieces.
