General Douglas Macarthur, Rare Wwii Handwritten Draft Of Letter:
General MacArthur had a habit of drafting his correspondence and cable by hand. This letter, written entirely in his hand but unsigned, came from theestate of LeGrande Diller, MacArthur's WWII press attache. It was written in 1944, probably in Australia.
The lighter from the Hall-Scott Motor Co has just arrived and I thanks you so sincerely for your thoughtfulness in having it sent to me. I have it on my desk and will use it daily with many thoughts of the donors. I only hope something may bring you this way to give us all a glimpse of a delightful rare opportunity to own a letter enirely in the General's handwriting!
