Jensen was the son of a knife grinder. He trained in goldsmithing, apprenticed to the firm Guldsmed Andersen. His interest in sculpture led him to attend and graduate from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. With little financial success in the fine arts or ceramics he turned to silver smithing and in 1904 opened his own shop in Copenhagen. Inspired by the forms of traditional and centuries-old Nordic tools and implements, the Continental cutlery pattern became Jensen's first major cutlery design in 1906.SHIPPING: THIS IS AN ESTIMATE.
