Georgeous Vintage Pre Prohibition Beer Sign/tray With Stunning Lady:
Beautiful Pre Prohibition Tin sign with curled edges advertising Christian Feigenspan Breweries/Newark, NJ. This sign features the stunning image of a lovely victorian lady with a somewhat revealing dress which is typical of many of the beer signs and trays that hung in bars from 1890-1918. The sign measures 15 inches accross and 15 inches from the bottom to the top. We believe this sign was produced and distributed in the teens just before prohibition. The overall condition of this sign is excellent with a few minor blemishes here and there but nothing that significantly detracts from the lovely image. Overall we grade this sign as in excellent concition or 8 on a scale of 10 condition. Buyer to pay $20 Shipping, insurance and handling. The following is a bit if information about the Brewery taken from Wikipedia: "The brewery started at 49 Charlton Street in Newark, New Jersey in 1875. In 1878 he moved the brewery to 47 Belmont Avenue in Newark, New Jersey. Around 1890 the brewery was moved to the corner of Freeman and Christie Streets. The brewer's logo was "P.O.N.", (Pride Of Newark). In 1943 the brewery was bought by P. Ballantine and Sons."
