A Georgian 18th century solid silver sugar caster or sifter . Hall marks for London 1740, the reign of George 11. Push fit pierced lid with engraved decoration. Bun shaped body with splayed foot. Hall marks to under base. makers mark difficult to decipher . In good condition , no excessive wear. Good genuine antique Georgiansilver caster . Approx 6" high and weighing 132 grams .
