Gorgeous Pre-owned Victorian Georgian Pendant With Miniature Hand Painted Portrait of a blue eyed beauty. Her elegant hairdo (powdered wig) is accented with a sky blue headpiece to match her dress and necklace. So much detail in such a tiny portrait. The portrait is under glass or some type of plastic (not sure) and framed in a silver filigree bezel. The back of the pendant shows the silver mark \"800\", the silver contentcommon of the era. You will also notice the back has a blue type of texturedfabric. I\'ve left this piece in its \"found state\" and it has not been cleaned, as most collectors prefer to leave antique items in their original condition.
Dimensions
The Pendant measures: approximately 1 3/8 inches in length (Including Bail)
Condition: In wonderful antique condition, no signs of repair. The miniature portrait looks intact. The silver bezel is darkened and shows patina due to its age (more than 200 years old) and it has been left in its original found condition. The silver has not been cleaned, as most collectors prefer to leave antique pieces such as this in their original found condition. Again, please bear in mind this is a very old piece and as such it will show its age. I have included SEVERAL CLOSE-UP pictures for you to review. THE PICTURES ARE MAGNIFIED and you will see details that are NOT visible to the naked eye. The chain is NOT included.
