This is a stunning George III sterling silver cup/trophy with lid. It is hallmarked for London and dated 1791-1792. Makers initials E.F for Edward Fernell? It is a very large trophy with a plain front cartouche ( please note there are some small dings on this cartouche). Heavily engraved floral design and tapered ribbing make this a truly stunning piece of silver ware. Both the lid and base are hallmarked. There are a few dings and surface scratches- this is to be expected from an item of this age. The overall condition however is lovely and would make a stunning centre piece.
