German military firemen of the early 1900s and early WW1 were issued a specially designed brass helmet to protect them from falling masonry. This German WW1 MILITARY FIREFIGHTER BRASS FIREMAN HELMET is in good condition, with moderate denting at the upper left crown,moderate scattered denting at the right crown,some scattered denting along the top comb, two contrived holes at the lower right side,a modern tape repair to the front of the leather chinstrap, moderate cracking and age drying to the leather chinstrap,some reddish paint staining around the top edge of the leather interior liner, some light scattered age spotting around the exterior, and with some patina and age spotting evident inside (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the helmet is in fine shape, with absolutely no cracking or other damage to the mellow genuine brass construction. It features the classic top comb, sports the familiar beaded lower crown, and is complete with a fragile but present brown leather chinstrap. Most interestingly, it boasts a fully intact brown leather interior liner in fine shape, and is a fine example of a rare, original German WW1 MILITARY FIREFIGHTER BRASS FIREMAN HELMET.
