Here is a ANTIQUE NAVAJO GERMAN TOWN / GT SAMPLER or SQUARE FROM ABOUT 1930, HAND WOVEN WITH GERMANTOWN WOOLS. This wee blanket is hand woven with beautiful wools and an authentic Navajo Antique Weaving

The size of this textile is approximately 16\" X 14\" (18\" including bottom fringe),with atrading post cottonwarp of about 10, and a GERMANTOWN WOOL Weft of about 38-40.Abeautifully designed and well constructed piece of Native America!CONDITION - Antique Weavingwith WEAR AND TEAR (Please see all pics, zoom in!): The wools within this rug are in great condition (still have plenty of luster and sheen), NO Notable Stains (a few small light stains), NO Fading, Onesmall area of Red Dye Bleed (bottom center at fringe), A few small Holes, some wool loss at side edges, has wear/tear you must view all pics! The Top End Selvage Cord is 100 % present, a braid of two fine, 2-ply black wool yarns. The Side Selvage Warps are intact and1presentwith some areas of weft wool loss. The top end corners are in good condition, with very minor wear at corners, and the corner ties are present (see pics for corners). The Bottom Fringe orcontinued cotton warp at bottom of weaving is tied off at wool weft, the weaving will not fray, there is some loss at the bottom edge but the rug will not fray or lose anymore wool due to warp beingtied off or sealed.

THIS IS A CLASSIC NAVAJO ANTIQUE WEAVING WHICH DISPLAYS WELL AS A WALL HANGER OR ON A TABLE TOP.
