This listing is for an extremely rare Gibson Joe Perry BoneYard Les Paul Standard.Most of these are in private collections so here\'s your chance to grab one with an incredible book matched AAAAA type curly maple flametop.

The guitar has VOS finished aged nickle hardware and factory Gibson Patent Applied For / PAF type BurstBucker pickups with Gibson Kluson style tuners. Gibson only made 500 of these Limited Edition guitars in 2004 and 2005 and two of those were a Prototype. Almost of these guitars are in private collections so you\'ll rarely see one for sale, especially in this condition and with a Killer AAAAA flametop like this. The matching Gibson Custom Shop Bone Yard hardshell case is included as well as the Custom Shop Care Pack ( case candy ) which includes some tags literature the warranty card Custom Shop cleaning cloth, Custom Shop picks, Custom Shop cord, and the truss rod tool. We\'ll also include several Aerosmith Joe Perry BoneYard Boys guitar picks, a few 2005 Aerosmith Rockin The Joint Tour Itinerary books, two Aerosmith Tour T Shirts, a new bottle of Joe Perry\'s Boneyard Hot Sauce, and we\'ll ship the guitar in a factory Gibson Box. Like a lot of the older Custom Shop guitars, the COA for this one was misplaced a few years ago. However, we\'ll also include a blank Custom Shop COA Certificate Of Authenticity. You\'ll have the option to fill in the model number and serial numbers. When I acquired this beautiful guitar, I knew it was not the run of the mill BoneYard so I quickly sent Gibson an email, requesting the history of it.
Mainly, I noticed the AAAAA type flametop was exceptional, and it\'s more of a black and tan color, than the \"greenish\" tint that almost all of these tops have. Also notice, the inlays, are cream / pearl colored and they are not green, like almost all of the other Boneyard Les Pauls.
The Gibson rep carefuly looked over all of the pictures and details etc and he sent me a very nice reply. In that email, he said, that this particular Joe Perry BoneYard Les Paul, was either made for an an artist, or a trade show, but he couldn\'t say for sure, which one. Regardless, this is indeed a very special, and very unique guitar. I also have no way of verifying if the guitar was made for an Artist or a Trade Show, However, I will also include the email from Gibson, and some Aerosmith Tour Itinerary books, plus several Joe Perry guitar picks, some laminated Aerosmith passes a couple of Aerosmith T Shirts and all of the Gibson Custom Shop items that are shown in the pictures. I recently had my luthier check the guitar out and he was very impressed. He\'s been an Authorized Gibson Repair Tech for over 15 years and a luthier for over 35 years. In that time he has worked on thousands of guitars including hundreds of Les Pauls and a Martin for Eric Clapton as well as the vintage Martin that Willie Nelson owns.
The guitar has been played very little and it really is, in exceptional condition, especially for being almost thirteen years old. From the front it still looks great and is in excellent to near mint condition. There are a couple of small minor dents on the very back edge and we took a picture of the biggest one, which is near the input jack. Everything else, on the guitar, including the back, the frets, the fretboard, the neck and the headstock ( front and back ) are all very clean, and in excellent to near mint condition. There\'s a lock on the side of the case so you can secure the guitar while it\'s being stored or transported and the key is included. The case has some scuffs. Otherwise, it\'s in great shape. All of the hardware is in place, and everything works properly, including the hasps, hinges, metal ball feet, strap lid and handle. The plush crushed velvet burgundy interior is super clean and in excellent condition. The accessory pocket is intact as well as the lid for it and the small pull tab.
