Gigantic Antique 1905 Taylor, Taylor & Hobson 1400mm F/8 Process Camera Lens For Sale
THIS IS WHAT YOU'RE offerDING FOR: From my personal collection, here's a gigantic Penrose process camera lens, a whopping long 54-55 inch or about 1400mm focal length (approximating on my workshop test bench...the lens focuses several inches beyond my 48" measuring scale!) and f/8 maximum aperture, made by Taylor, Taylor & Hobson of England around 1905. Must be for an enormous full function 20 x 24 inch format process or reproduction camera, possibly bigger, and from what I can see it's an extremely bright and sharp optic! Has the usual scattered collection of internal dust and subtle mist you might (or might not!) want to clean out, but it's otherwise in amazingly excellent overall condition for such a monster, generally well preserved outer finish, generally clean and mark-free glass, slightly stiff yet working iris diaphragm that stops down to f/90, and it even comes with the extremely important original heavy mounting flange. Wow! A fairly rare and valuable classic antique mammoth lens for the serious large format photographer or collector! WHEN THE sale ENDS: I'll send the winning buyer an invoice through 's e-mail notification system as soon as my sales conclude. The buyer must prepay in US dollars by Paypal or some other more traditional method, and include $40 for USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation (the lens is too big for the Large Flat Rate box, and the package will weigh over eleven pounds). For international buyers, please use 's shipping calculator to determine the cost of USPS Priority Mail to your location, but note how heavy this will be. I always bundle multiple winnings to reduce postage, and I always offer less expensive First Class Mail when possible, but USPS Priority Mail is mandatory for international shipments on items over $100 total value or weighing over four pounds. This item is guaranteed to be as described, and if you're not satisfied you may return it for a full refund, no explanation necessary, in compliance with 's guidelines, within fourteen (14) days after you receive it. Thanks for looking, and remember, antique wood and brass cameras rock!
