This is one of three adorable folk art animal dolls we arelisting. Two of the three dolls(this toad/frog and the cow) are signed and dated “Penny Magic” 1992.
This adorable toad / frog is wearing a white and ecru dressand apron. Her outfit is made ofseveral fabrics --- including a white on white fabric with dots, white eyeletfabric, an off white apron edged in white lace, etc. ……. This beautiful amphibian’scloth body is painted in multi color spots on green. She has big blue eyes with dramatic eyelashes, rosy cheeksand and dark orange/red lips.There is a small gray bow (of string / thread) at the neck.
A label attached to a seam under the triple layered apronreads (in red) 65% POLYESTER 35%COTTON MADE INPHILIPPINES. We do not know if theentire doll was made in the Philippines, or just part (or all) of the doll’sclothing.
This toad / frog doll and its outfit are in good used condition. Upon very close inspection parts of theoutfit look very slightly soiled (especially on the front of the apron). This is a stuffed cloth doll. The fabric of the head and theextremities is “stiff” from being painted.
On the outside of her left foot “PENNY MAGIC” is signed inblack on her gray shoe ---- and on the outside of her right foot 1992 iswritten (after the copyright symbol) in black.
This colorful and cute toad / frog in her white on whitefrock is about 12\"tall.
