This rod appears to me to be excellent condition. It is an as found fished fly rod. It is marked on the reel seat Pat April 12, 1938. Made by GOODWIN GRANGER CO. DENVER. it has a patent number 2114107. It is signed on the bamboo just ahead of the handle \" GRANGER FAVORITE \" I am not sure how to measure a fly rod. So it measures about 9\' overall and about 8\' for just the bamboo part. Its is a three piece rod w/ two tips. The cork handle has a little discoloration (dirt and grime) from being used and the reel seat has a little green tarnish for the same reason. I do not want to clean it as it will only be original once. All the guides are in place and all the wrapping is tight. To me the varnish appears to be in excellent condition. The sections fit together very snugly and pop when pulled apart. I do not see any signs of damage or repairs. Bag has a hole in it at the bottom where the section with the handle slides in. Tube is hard paper or cardboard and has a hole in it that has been covered w/ black tape and the cap is missing. I can not read anything on the label except Granger F.
