*gorgeous Googly Eyed Demalcol Bisque Doll* Excellent Condition C. 1912-1924 For Sale
Early 1900's Demalcol Googly eyed Doll!
Up for your consideration today is a gorgeous Demalcol Bisque Head Doll!
This adorable beauty is in excellent condition for being almost 100 years old!!!
She stands 9.5" tall, has a socket bisque head and a hard plastic body. She has a smile that is both mischievious and innocent! Such a cutie- pa-tutie!!!
Her face is simply the cutest Demalcol doll face I have seen yet! Her striking blue eyes are glass and are looking in the left direction. She does have eyelashes on the top lidthat are either human hair or synthetic. I am not sure which.
She has one stroke painted eyelashes and eyebrowsas well as accented cornersand the rosiest cheeks to boot!!!
At the top of her head at the opening there is some glue residue where someone tried to adhere a wig. Her wig is most likey synthetic based on how it feels to me which is very dry and corse. But cannot tell the age of the wig. The only flaws I see are a few small pinhead spots on her face and back of head that can be seen in photos provided. Possibly made during manufacturing. Her body has strings to control joints and joints are tight and move freely and doll stands nicely on its own.
Made by the Dennis Malley Co. in Germany but sold in London England. As you can see the back of the neck is marked: "Demalcol 5/0 Germany" Her outfit, hat andshoes are included and are not original. Shoes are marked inside "La Sioux" anddress has a tag that has been removed but looks to be newer and mass produced.
