Gorgeous 1930\'s vintage silk chiffon Marilyn Monroe style dress with brass and rhinestone studding. The sensational style of the dress is a classic with the fine pleated front deep neckline and full swing style skirt. The drape of the soft fluid silk chiffon is spot on and the large amount of material used is perfect in helping weigh the dress down beautifully. It\'s a small size probably around a size 2-0 and the design is meant to have a fitted waist with the perfect function side metal zipper closure to ensure fit. The dress can fit a number of chest sizes and hip. The cap sleeves have a sweet design that overlaps on the top with a curved hemline shown in the 5th picture. The cap sleeves and waist have the most precious rhinestone and brass stud Art Deco design embellishment in great condition. I couldn\'t detect any missing and they do have a nice vintage patina to them. The dress has approx. 3 rust colored spots. An example is shown in the last picture. There\'s one on the left side back and the back of the skirt as well. I have not tried to remove the spots but they will certainly lighten-up if not removed with some brushing with Oxy Clean. I\'ve had great success with off-white items and Oxy Clean but I can\'t guarantee the outcome. The seams around the waist have come un-done is areas but the material isn\'t damaged it\'s just the seams that need to be re-stitched. There are some pin and pinhead size holes within the skirt but very difficult to notice with the amount of material within the skirt and the way it drapes. There\'s also a group of 6 tiny pin size dots of a gray color on the skirt very difficult to see. The dress has issues but it can be worn \'as is\'. It\'s a perfect sample or inspirational piece but it does have more years of wear left as the silk chiffon is durable and still silky soft. It\'s simply a wonderful beautifully designed dress in a classic style with unique lovely details. *The delicate materials of lingerielooks its best when ironed properly but I only lightly steam the garments forpicture taking as to not set in any stains or issues with the material. I’m notfamiliar with the best techniques in cleaning delicates so any issues describedhave not had prior attempts of removal. Also, it’s often easier to see lightspots and issues with the materials when pictured underexposed. The darkerpictures aren’t meant to hide damage but actually help buyers see them.
