For sale is a set of Two Antique Gorham Old Medici Sterling Silver Demitasse spoons.
The bowl on both spoons are in excellent condition.The backs are hallmarked with Gorham’slion, anchor, G, and Sterling Copyrighted
The spoons are monogrammed with a \"B\" on the back.
Please look at photos for more detail.Old Medici was designed with a differentfiguralpattern on each piece. The spoon is 4.5” long.There are some surface scratches from usage otherwise this is in excellent antique condition.
F. Antoine Heller is the designer of Old Medici, he was born in France in 1845, and the Beaux Arts movement in France greatly influenced his development as an artist. He came to America in the late 1870s to work for Tiffany & Co., where some suggest that he helped design the celebrated Olympian pattern. After seeing his work for Tiffany, Gorham quickly lured the French designer away.
