"The City of Chicago", "Chicago as it is showing the Burnt District" 1871 map (REPRINT). The original map was produced shortly after the Great Chicago Fire and features political wards, streets, rivers, railroad lines, and parks. The dark red portion is the area that was burned. The population of Chicago in 1870 as stated on the map was 334,000. Overall size 18" x 10". A fascinating piece of Chicago history. A great conversation piece. Please note this is a REPRINT.
