The birds have sprung into action and started sprucing up their nests and doing a little remodeling of their houses.Our economy has grown this year and so has the bird population. New birds need a place to live too.
Now would be a great time to get those new houses up and help those new bird families out.
Just think of all the homeless birds there are out there. Do you want them living out there in some cold tree?For just the buy it now price you could be housing a number of homeless birds, not at the same time, but there is a very high turnover of bird family\'s for these houses which shows a great need for these houses. there for generations to come. I\'ve had these same houses hanging in my back yard for over a decade. They weather very well. I live in Chicago and they hold up to all seasons.I make these houses out of 1X10 select pine board. It\'s vertually knot free. I cut the front, back and bottom out of the board and then cut them to shape. I paint an unser coat of white and then paint the various colors. I finish the houses with 4 to 5 coats of clear to preserve the paint job. The roof is cut to size from a strip of vinal siding.The entrance hole size is 1 3/8\" diameter. There are two screws in front and two screws in back. Remove the screws and the bottom will
come out if you wish to clean out the house. I find each family that occupies the house likes to redecorate.
Each of the houses I have hanging are occupied nearly every day of the year, as you can see in the group photo, which is not part of this sale. The house on the far right was added on Mar. 20th 2014 and became occupied Mar. 22nd 2014. I guess having a number of houses attracts more birds. I also have a bird feeder nearby which helps a great deal especially in feeding their young. I usually ship the day of or the next business day after payment is received.Thank you for viewing.
