As a Machinist I have worked with all types of castings over the last 30+ years. I operate large machinery 10 hours a day, this gives me plenty of time to resurface these antique postal doors. After a century of abuse and neglect, there is beauty lying just beneath the surface. Glass is in great condition. I remove the old damaged surface with hand made tools and give it a new one. This is a C1920 Corbin Eagle door. The refinished dials are from a 1902 Corbin door. I machine the dials to fit with the proper clearance so they function smoothly like a new one. No coating has been applied but these will polish easily now or could be coated if you chose. This would make a great bank. I ship only to the lower 48 states with delivery confirmation for 6.00.
