WWII German General Werner Blomberg Autographed Photograph Postcard from 1936

General Werner Blomberg was Hitler's first Generalfieldmarschall, he was Minister of War and Comander-in-Chief of the armed forces. His rise to power irked Hermann Goring and Heinrich Himmler, and they worked together to oust him, which they did in 1938. He spent the next year in exile, and more or less sat out the war. He was captured by the Allies in 1945 and afterward gave evidence at the Nuremburg Trials.This autographed photographic postcard was taped into a frame, and there are masking tape remnants along the edges of the back. The signature is in brown fountain pen ink that has begun to fade a bit, and a part of it is on the photograph, where the light has to be at the right angle to best show it, as in the photographs. On the back of the card is written the date "2 April 1936" in small pencil script, probably the date that it was signed for the original owner. The size of the card is 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches.This interesting and historical card is obviously worth more than the very low starting offer, and is being sold with .
