Hard To Find Nra (national Recovery Act) Cast Iron Book End 1933 To 1935 For Sale
Vintage NRA book end made of cast iron and the blue eagleholds agear symbolizing industryin the right talon and lightening bolts in the left talonsymbolizing power.It has written on it U.S. "We Do Our Part". The paint is in nice condition and the only thing I see wrong with this book end is it has a sodder mark on it below the word our. It measures approximately 5-1/2" x 5-1/4".
In 1933 President Franklin D. Roosevelt started the National Recovery Act and it only lasted to 1935.The goal was for collective bargaining rights for unions, the act was considered a failure in 1935.
