THE ITEM LISTED WAS ACQUIRED AS PART OF A LARGE Tobacco PIPE ESTATE COLLECTION. I AM NOT AN EXPERT IN REGARDS TO Tobacco PIPES, IF FACT MY KNOWLEDGE IS PRETTY LIMITED. ITEM: HILSON FANTASIA #309, MADE IN BELGIUM. MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT THE BODY IS MADE OF BAKELITE WITH A MEERSCHAUM INSERT.
CONDITION: THE PIPE LOOKS TO BE IN NICE PREVIOUSLY ENJOYED CONDITION. THERE DOES NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY NOTICEABLE DAMAGE (NO CHIPS OR SCRATCHES). THE STEM IS TIGHT, IT DOES SHOW SOME END WEAR, I WOULD ASSUME FROM HOLDING IT WITH THE TEETH. I DID NOT DO ANY CLEANING OF THIS ITEM IN FEAR OF CAUSING DAMAGE DUE TO LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, I WOULD RATHER LEAVE THIS TO SOMEBODY THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING.
