江戸時代後期Late Edo period (around 慶応 Keiō era 1865s)

・Made this sword around Late Edo period (around 慶応 Keiō era 1865s).

*** Keiō (慶応) was a Japanese era name (年号 nengō,\"year name\")

・Signed 長光 Nagamitsu

・長光 Nagamitsu , living in 伊予国 ( Iyo-no-koku), now, 愛媛県 (Ehime Pref).

・刃文 Hamon (temper line) of this sword is 皆焼 Hitatsura.

皆焼 Hitatsura : many tempered spots in the untamperedportion of the blade.

All our swords with hand forgedblade are registered in the Agency for Cultural Affairs as artwork and TheBoard of Education(Cultural properties protection Committee); therefore eachsword has the registration card, issued by the Board of Education.

Afterreceiving the full payment of the items, we return the registration card and getthe permission from Ministry of Cultural Affairs to export the swords legally fromJapan. It will take about 14-17 business days to do this procedure.
After the receiving the permission,we will inform you by email and send the items immediately.

Weare not responsible for the problem of custom or post office. As some countries are notallowed to import swords, because they might be considered swords as weapons. Please confirm whether your country can importJapanese antique swords and antique goods before offerding/ buying. We cannot refund the money due to thisproblem.
