Here are TWO / 2 c1965 authentic and well made HOPI KWEO or WOLF KACHINASwhich are in good condition for age (some wear/tear)- see pics! These Kachinas were made by an expert Hopi maker - LM.

These are fine looking Kachinas, with a quality paint job and expert carving. They are both is made from solid Cottonwood Tree Wood, standing a BIG 15 1/2" tall, and about 9" wide at fists and the small one is a petite 8 1/2" tall. There is some wear as expected from age/use(wear/paint/feather loss, hands are missing rattles/ feathers, and a shoulder on large Kachina is cracked/glued) so please review all pics. Both Kachinas look fearsome and display well as is.Note the detail in the paint job, the leather, shell, and wool accoutrements and the overall 1960's style.

The Kachinas are spirits who live in the San Francisco Peaks (an "extinct" volcano) near Flagstaff, Arizona, they come down at certain times of the year to interact in their various forms with the Hopi People on the three ancient Mesa Pueblos. You can visit the Hopi Mesas to see them dance in their human form, there is even a hotel there now - see the Hopi These are older c1965 (1960-1970) Hopi Kachinas, and specifically a Popkot (Animal) KWEO (Wolf) KACHINAS. These Kachinas dance in the Soyohim Dances and the Hopi throw corn meal on him and offer prayer feathers so they may secure his prowess as a hunter of style="font-weight: normal; ">The body is carved from a single piece of the traditional Cottonwood - a tree that grows in washes and canyons where water is more carved and painted by a master Hopi Kachina carver/maker "LM"(on underside of large Kachina) - true and classic Kachinas.
