Up for sale this week we offer a LOVELY Simon & Halbig / HEINRICH HANDWERCK antique child doll with the best modeling and execution of features! She is wearing a lovely ANTIQUE WHITE COTTON DRESS WITH rows of tucking, embroidery and lace trim (some minor age wear to the fragile cotton dress.) She also wears la full white slip and pantaloons, antique black cotton knit socks, , vintage white leather shoes (some wear) and a beautiful antique doll bonnet. Wow! A super fine presentation for this big antique dolly!


She is GUARANTEED to be produced in Germany by Simon & Halbig circa 1900 and she is GUARANTEED to be on her original signed Heinrich Handwerck composition and wood doll body.

She has a lovely original blue sleep eyes in perfect working condition with painted lower lashes and real upper, lashes feathered and molded brows, open mouth with four upper teeth, dimpled chin, pierced ears, lovely and very long vintage synthetic doll wig .

CONDITION: There is a broken section on the left front crown rim with a hairline extending into the forehead. See photos. Otherwise, she has a lovely bisque head with pleasant coloring and perfect bisque. Crisp modeling of her very beautiful face. The antique body is in original finish condition but with typical age wear, such as chipping at the neck socket of the torso and repainting of the lower arms and hands. This pretty doll has an angelic face and a sweet countenance and makes a lovely presentation in her pretty antique costume--She is a big chunky girl with so much charm!



Think of how many of our ancestors have been charmed by this darling piece of doll history! Remember that larger dolls were not kept in cabinets and tend to show more wear than the smaller antique dolls which were easier to store over long periods of time.
