Huge Lot Of World Travel Slides Asia Europe Mexico U.s. Close To 3,000 Slides For Sale
Up for sale we offer this huge and unique lot of travel slides for your consideration. The original owners were well travelled as the locations of these slides show. There are slides showing Japan, China, Ireland, Denmark, Sweden, England, Mexico and of course the United States. There are also some simply marked Europe, and the Orient. There are 29 carousels and several sleeve type holders. Most of the carousels are filled with 100 slides each but there area couple that aren't completely filled. Then we added in the others that are loose or in the straight sleeves type holders are included we'revery close to 3,000 or more individual slides WOW!!Almost all the slides were taken by the previous owners but there are some sight seer commercially developed slides that they purchased at some of the locations like Carlsbad Caverns in the United States. There are also slides of home life and civic activities. In all my years of this is probably the second best lot I've acquired. Consider that and then look at how low our opening offer is!!Packed shipping weight will be 52 pounds with the carousels included. If the buyer asks I can remove them from the carousels to reduce the shipping cost. This may be broken into 2 boxes to make shipping easier and this will also be determined at sales end and after consulting the winning buyer.Please remember packed shipping weight includes your item, appropriate packing material, and a sturdy corrugated box or bubble mailer with heavy cardboard inserts to prevent damage. Also these will ship Media Mail which is the cheapest rate you can get from the Post Office. We do NOT do anything to most items we find. Our experience shows that you, the collector, know more about these things than we do. Most people will tell you a dealer knows a little bit about a lot of things. We don't want to do anything that could change an item in a way that would be undesirable to the eventual owner. Some people like an aged look or patina and others want items to look as if they were just made and that decision isn't ours to make. We specialize in acquisition not restorations. Also in so far as smoking concerns go we can make no judgement.If the estate was obviously a smoking home we disclose it butwe're immune to the smell of tobacco so PLEASE keep that in mind while offerding.
