This very fine representation of the Christ Child if from the Bergland organization in the Dolomites of NorthernItaly. It was purchased through Gumps of San Francisco a few years ago. The statue is in three separate parts.The figure rests on a small manger and the nimbus attaches with a screw. The finish is antiqued. There is a little shrining of the painted surface of the face. In my opinion, this adds to the appearance age. We displaythe figure only at Christmas, but it would be a wonderful item to feature all year. This is a fairly largecarving and stands a little over 19 inches to the corona. Free shipping within the continental US.
