The Seaweed family are some one the greatest and best carvers of the Northwest, carrying on the their Willie Seaweed is acknowledged at being one of the greatest, his legacy lives on through his family and is carried on with the likes of Paddy Seaweed. This beautifully and finely carved bracelet shows wonderful creativity in being a hummingbird from one side and an owl from the other. Paddy carves deep in the silver and as you can see in the photos, shows his expertise with very fine hatch work. I think I got a bit carried away with the extreme close ups of these photos but I wanted to show the fine detail of Paddy's work. The bracelet has been worn but lovingly so - it is in great condition. It is signed by Paddy with his PS inscribed on the inside. It is a fabulous piece that could be considered museum quality and will be treasured for years to come. This is art you can wear.On Nov-13-13 at 16:23:52 PST, seller added the following information:
The bracelet is 53 grams of silver (that is about 2 ounces) - very solid feel to it.The silver if stretched ou,t would be 6.25" long. The bracelet now is about 7.5". It could be closed or opened up for proper fit.It is 1.5" wide. There is a very low reserve - especially for a piece this unique and of this quality.
