Hand Painted Rare Antiqansonia Clock Bonn Germany Porcelain Case One Of A Kind:
Ansonia Clock (1882) Bonn Germany Porcelain (1755).
Very unique item!
I discovered on the inside of the panel in the back an etching that says "Charlie Chaplin". There's also "Phil" (?) etched. The outer part has some etchings also. I'm not sure what exactly I have here, but here's what I know :
The clock was in my family whose roots are based in Rockland and Orange County, NY. Ansonia was a clock company based out of nearby Connecticut. I don't know previous owners of the clock, but the etchings are sure interesting!
Clock functions, chimes, dings, winds with an included key and stand beautiful at 11.5 inches tall, 12 inches wide, 5 inches thick and is heavy!
The model appears to be Ansonia La Somme and the case is stamped 1755, the clock parts 1882 and the clock was made some time after that but before 1923.
All original parts and quality! Very neat item.
