PERFECT CONDITION-- I have been listing a large amount of decorative items and gifts my Mother received over decades. Every one so far has been SAME-AS-NEW as she would thank the person and put the gift in a drawer or closet, and now, it filled 7 boxes when we cleared it out. This was one that came from a friend who bought it in an art store. We may POSSIBLY be able to get the name and date. It is a squared body 6.5 inch vase with a round base and a round top. The entire finish has a crazed (if thats the right term) finish which has the design painted by hand over it. Each design is different and the lines go over, plus the ring of raised paint dots around the neck are not even close to straight. In other words, all painted by hand. All edges of the designs are raised and the stems of the flowers are painted on and then a thin but raised line is added down the center to create the 3d effect. The bird in the flowers design means Oriental and much of the design is in gold leaf(if thats the right term). Look close at the bird as the design is outlined in raised gold with 5 colors of flat and raised paint. The coolest part is that you can \"feel\" the design without looking at it. If anyone knows the stamp on the bottom Id appreciate the info as I can find all the rest, but this one isnt clear.
SHIPPING-- If the vase was an ounce or two lighter, it could ship 1st Class but it goes over 1 pound packaged so will ship as 2 pounds even though it is just 2 ounces past 1. Not my rules.
