This is a very nice piece of the pottery work of David Salk. It is a later piece in that it is dated 2003. Mr. Salk studied with San Idelfonso potter, Maria Martinez. She taught him to feel and communicate his relation in pottery with the Earth. His parents were veterinarians that worked on the Navajo reservation. The experiences & relationship that young David had with the Navajos continues until today within his work. He feels the Earth like Native Americans. This piece is a classic example of David Salk\'s work. It measures 19\" x 10\".
