This petite bracelet was handmade in the home by a Navajo artisan for use as family jewelry and pawn trade. The3stones appear to befrom theCerrillos Mine inNew Mexicoand aresmooth cut and polished turquoise with agold and steel greymatrix; this turquoisetypically has a bluish turquoise hue and dominant matrix; the stonesare inpristine condition and aresecurely seated. The bracelet is a size6 3/4, the opening(which is included in the size)is11/2 inches and it weighs32 grams(11/8oz.). It measures 3/4 inchesat its\' highest point.The design bears a raindrop and leaf motif. Thecraftsmanship is of the old pawn hand stamped tradition, used before the advent of commercialized shop production and machine stamping. I am not a professional seller. I collected pieces on my many trips through the Navajo Reservation as a delivery driver 1965 through the 1990\'s. I made it a point to stop for lunch breaks at trading posts and pawn shops along the way.
