Heavy Antique/vintage Hanau Silver 830 Repousse Box-cherubs & Roses-85.52 Grams For Sale
Hello Everyone, Presented here is an antique silver box which I believe is genuine Hanau Silver even though there are no maker's marks. Many genuine Hanau silver boxes are without stamps. This one is very heavy, high relief repousse work. Cherubs and roses...very lovely. The photos show the condition. Stamped 830 on the lip of the box. Measures 2-7/8" x 2-1/8" x 1/2" high. Quite heavy at 85.52 grams. Nicely gilded inside and it seems to still all be intact. Purchased in Nuremburg in the late 1980's when I lived there, which is why I believe this to be genuine German Hanau silver work. Thank you
