To celebrate Easter this year, Carol is releasing for sale all the remaining paintings she created for her books relating to the Holiday. She has kept them in her art drawer over the years, only selling a very few of them from time to time. But this past year she decided that the time had come to offer them for sale, BUT ONLY FOR A LIMITED PERIOD OF TIME. And so I am listing them \"good until cancelled\" - which in this case means ONLY just until right after Easter. At that point all paintings remaining unsold will be taken down until next year. These works have never been offered for sale before, and they also will not be listed on my website when the sale is over, so this will be the only time and place where they will be offered.
I am listing them ALL - none will be added to this sale - so if you see one (or more) that you like I would advise you not to hesitate in your choices, as this is truly \"first come - first served\".And note:While your offer is pending, anybody else can \"Buy it now\" or I can accept an offer submitted by someone else.
ALL are one-of-a-kind artworks that were created to illustrate popular children\'s books celebrating Easter - these are the final paintings published as cover illustrations or interiors. Carol Heyer has written and/or illustrated over thirty children\'s picture books, among them \"The Easter Story\", \"My First Easter\", \"The Golden Easter Egg\", and Humphrey\'s First Palm Sunday\".
You are offerding on the original painting used for the cover of both the hardcover book and board book, painted by Carol Heyer for \"Humphrey\'s First Palm Sunday\" - a book she wrote and illustrated for Ideal\'s Children\'s Books, both the 32 page hardcover edition published 2012, as well as the 26 page board book, published 2019.
This painting appeared as the cover of both books, and shows Humphrey being honored and welcomed with palm branches (see published covers for reference). Hand-painted in acrylics on unstretched canvas, 17\" x 13\" and signed by the artist.
