Hot Rod Bonneville Ford Coupe Tether Car 99 Cents For Sale

Measuring 13''L x 8.5''W x 5'' TI purchased this body two years ago. It was a re-cast McCoy Roadrunner roadster, then somebody went to the trouble of casting a 3 window coupe top and welding them together.From there I added an old Fox Eagle 60 Glow engine. It's a direct drive unit that has a free wheeling bearing suspended outside wheel. Supposedly built for and used on the old Goodguys portable track. I didn't even clean it. It has good compression.The front end is a threaded drill blank axle mounted on a central coil spring(it's actually adjustable for height). The radius rods are old throttle linkage.It's got Firestone logo tall rear tires. The front tires are ill-fitting semi-pneumatics off of a model car (the Big "T"). They look great for display but aren't functional. I will include a set of bead lock McCoy skinny front tires.I hand cut the aluminum front grille and windshield (complete with scratched plexi-glass windows).And last I spent an entire week of evenings faux finishing the many layers of paint and patina. Hand pinstriped, Hand Lettered, Complete with a humorous play on words on the deck lid.If you are looking for the jewelry like craftsmanship known in the Tether Car Hobby. This car is not for you.
