How the Wogglebug Got a Thanksgiving Dinner - L. Frank Baum - 1904
Description:
How the Wogglebug Got a Thanksgiving Dinner by L. Frank Baum. The Kansas City Journal: Kansas City, 1904. First edition.
Baum produced a 27-part comic strip series, Queer Visitors from the Marvelous Land of Oz, which ran weekly from 4 Sep 1904 to 26 February 1905 to fuel demand prior to the release of his second Oz book, The Marvelous Land of Oz. This story was the fourteenth in the series and the third featuring the Woggle-Bug.
The full-page strips ran in the Philadelphia North American, Chicago Sunday Record-Herald, and other newspapers. The Woggle-Bug character proved so popular that Baum created a play and book based on his adventures early in 1905.
One large full-size leaf from the newspaper. Paper is toned and brittle. There are a few small chips in the margins and a couple of closed tears, so priced accordingly.
Unless otherwise noted, all of my shipments are covered by my business insurance. If you pay via PayPal, I will only ship to shipping addresses provided by PayPal.
Sorry, but no international sales or shipments to countries other than those listed; I've had too many claims of non-delivery. I will only ship overseas using Priority International Mail or some other traceable method; this can be expensive and it is non-negotiable.
Also, import duties, taxes, and charges for international sales are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibilitiy. Buyers should check with their country's customs office to determine what these additional costs may be prior to offerding or buying. I will only enter true information on customs forms; if you have a problem paying your nation's customs fees, that is between you and your government, I have nothing to do with it.
