Huge 14-3/4" Gustav Hellstrom Norwegian .830 Silver Rommegrot Serving Spoon 830s For Sale

Huge 14-3/4

This is a rare find. It is a huge Norwegian .830 fine silver serving spoon with feather-edge brite-cut engraving. It measures 14-3/4" long and weighs 4.75 troy ounces. The bowl measures 4-7/8" x 3-1/2". The spoon is in very good-to-excellent estate condition, with a couple of minor bumps in the bowl. It is well-engraved, "LT" (TL?) in a compound monogram. The reverse is engraved, "Fra H Tog KK" (I believe). The reverse is marked, "(?) Hellstrom & Co., 830 S". The mark is double-struck, making it difficult to decipher; I am sure many Norwegian silver specialists recognize the mark. Any black marks are merely reflections. It is a fine piece! Please see my other sales and store for more antique silver. * I have been informed that this is a "rommegrot" serving spoon, and was made by Gustav Hellstrom & Co. *
