An original and unusually large Arts & Crafts period Ruskin brooch, the roundel signed with the impressed mark to the rear and set within a Sterling Silver mount, and dating to the early part of the 20th century c.1900.
The cabochon or plaque has a beautiful marbled turquoise / marine blue colouration with marine green tones to the edges, and is typical of the Ruskin plaques that Liberty's used in the early 1900's.
The rear of the plaque is impressed RUSKIN.
The plaque is in it's original Silver mount, with a hinged pin & C clasp, and is impressed STERLING SILVER.

Condition is fine, with no damage or restoration, and the only point to note is that the edge of the silver mount has a tiny pinhead bruise - please see all photos and click to enlarge.
The brooch is an unusually large example & measures approx 2" / 5cm in diameter.
