Large, and unusual depiction of a Mythical Dragon, amazingly preserved being under the sea for over 500 years! Made of terra-cotta, this creature is beautifully detailed, from the snarling mouth and flared nostrils....down to the curled tail. Finger marks inside (see photo) attest to this piece\'s authenticity.
Measures 12\" tall x 12\" long from nose to tail x 4.5\" wide. Intact, some white slip remaining, with some sea encrustation. A nice, solid piece. Rare to find intact in this size. Ex: San Francisco Collection
