Huge Lot (80+) Vintage And Antique Thimbles, Many Sterling, Instant Collection For Sale
This is a huge and wonderful lot of vintage and antique thimbles, of all sizes and shapes. Some description includes: * 8 are ceramic, and of a later vintage* one is glass or crystal* 8 have partial enameling* 1 says "Meet the wife"* 1 must be for a person with long fingernails -- it is fashioned with the center top cut out* 1 is in a tiny leather box -- the box is in fair condition, with the hinge gone.* 1 is aluminum and says "John Hancock Insurance"* 1 tiny one is "For a good girl"* 1 has an enamel heart band and is marked "Germany"* several antique thimbles are custom engraved, at last two with dates pre 1900* many are sterling -- I counted at least eight with sterling marks and there are probably more without marks This is a wonderful lot for the thimble collector, the antique dealer or a person who has always wanted to start a thimble collection! Most are in very good condition -- there are a few that are bent, and about three that have a split in the side, but most of the 80+ are in wonderful condition. Please email with questions.
