Very Rare Pair Of Early 19th Century Pewter or Bell Metal Pricket Candlesticks

Interesting story how I got these. I bought one in Tunbridge Wells several years ago and a couple of years ago I decided to research the single one I had. I could believe my luck in finding its pair in Reading of all places.

These candlesticks are probably German and originally they are likely to have come from a Church in Germany. They are characteristic of the type found in a Catholic Church and it is likely there would have been 6 in total. My feeling is that they were brought over to England during one of the World Wars, but I\'m only guessing. Amazingly I did find a third one on the net a few months ago but the antique dealer selling it told me it had been sold months before. Never mind.
