Hugh Bridgman, Pilot World War 1, Harvard Graduate, Volunteered, Sophmore year as ambulance driver in France. Born in 1897, Salem, Ma. After his Sophomore year at Harvard he volunteered to be an Ambulance Driver in the American Field Service, and worked with the French Army at the Argonne front. He enlisted in the US Army assigned to Aviation Section. Graduating from flight school as !st Lieutenant, and in 1918 assigned to the famous Lafayette Escadrille- Spad 98 - 21st Group in Chartus France, and then to the 49th Aero Squadron, He saw Combat Chateau-Thierry, champaigne-Marne marne Aisne-St Mihiel and Meuse Argonne offensives. Received Citations from General Pershing, for distinguished and exceptional Gallantry at Ainereville, France. Scrap book numerous orders and Military maps, flight logs, His photo, Harvard Diploma, Campaign Medals , Dog Tags, Diimension of the Scrap book 12 inches by 17 inches. List of assignments at Aero Sept 15 ,1917. Brevet D'Aviateur Militaire 26 June 1918. Numerous original orders with list of names, Pay vouchers, Method of shooting against monoplane. machine gun instructions..G.H.Q. American Expeditary Forces. He Received a Silver Star. Two pages of Ribbon and medals, some ambulance related, some aviation related. Spad Squadron. Dog Tags WW 1. Ma, WW1 Medal from People of Salem, Ma. We take a lot of pictures to show the items the best we can. We willnotpay for return shipping, and we do charge a handling fee for returned items. The buyer is responsible for returning item in the same condition itwas received.If the buyerreturns the itemor does not pick item up from shipping service and or customs, the buyer will have to pay for shipping and return shipping. For all returned items there is a handling fee this will vary depending what the item is and how long it takes to package and process the item. The handling fee will be charged to allbuyer's if an item is returned. If for some reson you need to send something back for a mistake in the listing please send it back USPSparcel post with a delivery confirmation, we will not pay for return shipping that is more money.

We can send out items thru Fedex Ground or USPS. We normally send out items within 2 to 3 days of receiving payment. Sometimes we will wait 5-8 days if payment was made by personal check so it clears the bank. We do provide tracking numbers with all purchases. Please email us if you need different shipping arrangements. We do allow for personal pick up of certain items. Our shipping price includes the full amount of insurance, which is the final winning offer amount.
We ship items international but please email us for rates before offerding because some items are very expensive to ship due to weight, size, and double boxing that might be required. We ship items to foreign countries thru USPS Express Mail International, Fedex International and sometimes UPS International. We only ship to a verified PayPal listed address. We have to insure all packages for the final selling price so the buyer will be responsible for all taxes or duties entering their country. Sometimes packages that are shipped thru the post office can take longer then expected to get there, we are not responsible for this extra time at customs, so please be patient. Items shipped thru the post office can only be insured for up to $500, if you want more insurance it will have to be shipped thru FEDEX.
