The founder of thecompany was born in the Swiss city of Schaffhausen,in the family clockmaker. His skill improved master clock in Les Lokle, wheremoved along with his father.
In Russia Moser appeared in 1820s, and already in1828 H. Moser opened a trade office in St. Petersburg. By its products in Russia, the company has found ahuge market. This marks the hour of inception of what would eventually growinto such a successful brand. In 1829 in order to maintain this demand onsuperior quality, he establishes a watch factory in Le Locle to produce watchesexclusively for his businesses in Europe and Russia. From 1868 Johann Heinrich Moser supportsAriosto Jones in the foundation of the InternationalWatch Company (IWC), by providing premises and energy to drive themachines.
Theuncompromising quality of his watches gains him access as a supplier to the Imperial Russian Court,various royal houses and the armed forces. Within just a few years, he isselling watches to Japan, China and Persia, but also in the Westernworld.
