I Wood-row Wilson And Marshall To Victory 1912 Win With Wilson Pin Rare No Res For Sale
You are purchasing an Original Pin Back Political Button depicting Democratic Candidates Woodrow Wilson for President and Thomas Marshall for Vice President from the Election campaign of 1912. This pin is listed in Theodore Hake's Book, "Political Buttons, Book III 1789-1916" on page 224 and identified as Hake 3081. It depicts a three men in a rowboat in front of the US Capital Building. The slogan: "I Wood-row Wilson and Marshall to Victory, 1912" is above the men in the rowboat, with "Win With Wilson" at the bottom of the pin. There is a Red, White and Blue shield on the left and an Orange and Black shield on the right. I believe the Orange and Black shield relates to Princeton University, of which Woodrow Wilson was once President. This is a very unusual image for a political button of this period and it is listed as being RARE in the Hake book. The pinback is not marked as to the maker, however it does have the pin on the reverse. See Photo This political pin is approx 1 1/4" in diameter and in Very Good condition with scattered surface marks and age foxing/toning, HOWEVER grading is very subjective and you should evaluate the pin according to your own standards. This pin came from a small group of political pins found in an attic in Central Pennsylvania.I guarantee this Political Woodrow Wilson and Thomas Marshall pin back to be an original 1912 election button and not a reproduction. See Photo.
