M O D E R N I S T I N T E R I O R L I G H T I N G ! 17" wide by 25" high. This lampis MID-TASTIC!!!!!! Lamps by MOSS were often some of the most outrageous designs! They can be seen in books such as Mid-Century Modern by Cara Greenburg and Lamps of the Fifties. MOSS lamps had a "Hollywood" sort of modernist style - flashy and outrageous! This lamp is no exception! All white lucite (cutting edge material at the time!) with a special switch to turna smalllight on underthe base. Staggered atomic wedge shapes feature "googie" holes through which two sputnik styled clear lucite shafts with gold ball ends are placed! EPIC! This piece is truly wonderful! It captures that bold enthusiasm and optimism for the future! This lamp is futuristic, yet does not resort to any superficial frills to achieve this futurism. It is as clean as a Raymond Loewy Avanti or a Alex Tremulis Tucker - the lines and curves do all the "future" talking by themselves! Lamp is in very good condition.Almost flawless! Lucite base has a small stress line, and that's it! Shade is linen and is absolutely gorgeous! HURRY and snap this up for your living spaces! Your mid-century minded guests will have a 'special moment' as their eyes gaze upon your beautiful furnishings - a moment that is all the reward in the world for the hard work of the original designers and all those who love mid-century modern design! As a modernist with great interiors and great taste, you will often have to endure constant comments and praise regarding your mid-tastic furnishings ICONIC LIGHTING FOR YOUR LIVING SPACES!
