IMPERIAL NIPPON HEXAGONAL VASE, SAILING SHIPS ON ROCKY COAST
Description
You are offerding on this elegant Imperial Nippon 12"high hexagonal vase with hand paintednautical scene of ships on a rocky coast. The top and bottom of the vase has a frieze of gold designs. Angular open gold handles.
CONDITION: There are no chips, cracks or damage to this marvelous old vase.Light wear onthe handles. Three glaze pops on the side of the vase; this happened during manufacture.
This piece is marked with the blue Imperial Nippon mark noted to mark number 38 in the book Nippon Porcelain (page 35) by Van Patten.
