Up for sale is a Very Rare 18thc Chinese Qianlong Mark & Period Longquan Celadon Glazed Lidded Porcelain Jar. The Jar is a very interesting and I believe rarely seen piece. The Jar has a nice ovoid form with its original top lid. The Jar also has interesting carved crescent shaped design to either side. The Jar has a beautiful very light longquan celadon glaze which is perfectly and consistently colored throughout. The Jar has a prominent line to the center portion where you can see it has been potted in two sections and then put together, as a period example should be. The Jar could use a cleaning to the interior, and has light marks and scratches throughout the glaze, which I am sure would be found on any example of this age. Overall the jar is in fine original condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. I also black light all my items including this piece which reveals no florescence or restorations of any kind. The Jar displays beautifully measuring 8 1/4 inches tall, by 6 1/2 inches wide. It is well worth looking into the jar and what its current value may be, which I believe is quite substantial.Provenance: This vase along with many of the other items listed are from the estate of a prominent family. The Family owned large amounts of land in Hong Kong in the earlier 1900s period which in turn made them extremely wealthy. The Family travelled extensively and has mansions all over the world. One of their main residence is here in Toronto which is how I acquired the items for sale. The collector was actively buying at high end galleries and sales houses all over the world throughout the 1950-70s period. I was told the present piece was purchased in London at the Marchant gallery as labelled around 40 years ago. Some of the items were also family pieces which were inherited by the collector and have been in the family since the earlier 1900s period. PLEASE REVIEW PAYMENT AND RETURN POLICIES PRIOR TO offerDING. BEST OF LUCK WITH THE sales! Mark your calendars this sale ends theEvening of Sunday July 7th.
